On the historic rice plantations of the SC Lowcountry, the fields were flooded and drained through these wooden trunks that worked with the tides of the rivers. These trunks can be found at Mansfield Plantation in Georgetown, SC on the Black River.

Sandra Anderson I am blessed to live in the South Carolina Low Country where the abundance of nature, landscapes, seascapes, architecture and historic sites produce a never ending supply of subjects and inspiration.
